2008
Ran 12 of 16 Firestone Indy Lights Series races
with RLR/Andersen Racing
to finish 15th out of 40 drivers for the year in his
sophomore season in this
division. Best finish was fourth at the Milwaukee Mile.
Recorded seven
Top-10 finishes in the 12 races in all. Was running at
the finish in 10 of
the 12 events. Ran his first ALMS race ever when he
co-drove Eco Racing's
Radical AER LMP1 car with ex-F1 driver Hideki Noda in
its first race ever
at the season finale at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
2007
The 2007 season marked the rookie year for both
Andrew
Prendeville and
his team, RLR/Andersen Racing. In
the Indy
Pro Series,
he finished 11th
in the final point standings. He
recorded four top-five finishes, including
a best finish
of third
in the second race at Infineon, and seven
top-10s.
His first
event ever at the Indianapolis Motor
Speedway was very
memorable, as he ran as high as
second, set the fastest lap of
the race by running even
faster than the speed that won the pole,
and finished
fourth.
"Statiscally, this was the worst season of my career.
The 2008
season with RLR/Andersen Racing will be
better."
2005 and 2006
I took time away from driving to educate myself
further and
focus on building other skills that I felt I
would need. At that time
in
racing, there was not a very
bright future for what I wanted to do.
I felt that if
there was ever a time to take a break, then that
was it.
I believe that I made the right choice as I now feel
more
prepared to handle the racing life.
2003 and 2004
Competed in the Formula 2000 Pro Series and
finished fifth in points and second in points,
respectively. In 2004 he had three
victories and nine
podium finishes.
2002
Earned the national championship in the Formula
Continental class at the SCCA Runoffs after winning the
Northeast division championship. Named co-Rookie of the
Year for the SCCA with his older brother, Doug.
2001
Finished second in the Bertil Roos Championship
and was Rookie of the Year.
2000
After racing karts since the age of 10, raced
cars for the first time at a five-day program conducted
by the Bertil Roos Racing
School in Pocono, Pa.
